I take my meds with breakfast, eat fibre with my meals
My knee is quite arthritic, It’s hard for me to kneel
My hip aches when it’s colder, I need to stand up more
But being upright for too long makes my poor back feel sore

I don’t go out at night these days, my eyes can’t clearly see
The distance of the car lights that’s just ahead of me
I spend a day recovering, takes me a while to mend

I’m invisible in restaurants and to teenagers I’m sure
The doctor at the hospital is only twenty-four
The technology for heating or to switch on the TV
