No longer tame
03:34
|
|||
I've got a scratch in my belly
I think it's a feral cat
But it's real and it's raw it's scratching at the door
Gotta ditch that old door mat
I'm no longer, I'm no longer, I'm no longer tame, tame
I've got an itch in my finger
Just the one that's third
But it's real and raw it's harder to ignore
Gotta learn to flip that bird
I'm no longer, I'm no longer, I'm no longer tame, tame
Agreeable, compliant - now I'm defiant
Demure and quiet - come and join the riot
What will people say though - can you live this way though?
Meet expectations - be an inspiration
I've got a beat in my heart
Out of sync with unsaid rules
But it's real and it's raw it's louder than before
No my time for suffering fools
I'm no longer, I'm no longer, I'm no longer tame, tame

I don't care
03:33
|
|||
I don’t care for money, I don’t for fame
I just care for you, being there again
I don’t care for sunshine, I don’t care for rain
I just care for you, calling out my name
When I looked you stood there tall
When I rang you answered my call
When I fell you cushioned my fall
You’ve become my one and all
And I don’t care for night-time, I don’t care for day
I just care for you, looking at me that way

Sleeping is better than waking, and
Love is better than hate, but
Living is better than dying, until it aint
Laughing is better than crying, and
Warm is better than cold, but
Living is better than dying, before we get old
Day after day life gets in the way
Day after day we fritter time away
Day after day our sins they make us pay
Day after day life gets in the way
Truth is better than lies, and
Sane is better than high, but
Living is better than dying, but I don’t know why
Two is better than lonely, and
Peace is better than complaint, but
Living is better than dying, until it ain’t

Disgraceful ageing
03:38
|
|||
I take my meds with breakfast, eat fibre with my meals
My knee is quite arthritic, It’s hard for me to kneel
My hip aches when it’s colder, I need to stand up more
But being upright for too long makes my poor back feel sore
But I’ve got you, and you’ve got me
And we’ll grow old and gray disgracefully
Yeah I’ve got you, and you’ve got me
And we’ll grow old and gray disgracefully
I don’t go out at night these days, my eyes can’t clearly see
The distance of the car lights that’s just ahead of me
I spend a day recovering, takes me a while to mend
My gut can’t cope with too much spice when I eat out with friends
I’m invisible in restaurants and to teenagers I’m sure
The doctor at the hospital is only twenty-four
The technology for heating or to switch on the TV
The complexity is baffling, I’ll leave it tuned to ABC

Meet me there
03:22
|
|||
In the soft light of dawn a new day is born
From dreams we are torn to face the day
When I feel all alone and no-one is at home
I can call you on the phone and hear your voice
Meet me there my friend, meet me there again
And remember those who went before
Friend to me, friend to you, the sharing of the few
Is to me the morning dew of life
If it’s true what they say then come what may
We can while the time away together
When my day nears the end, my time no more to spend
I still want our lives to blend together
In my heart I love you, I know you love me too
When our hearts will meet their due

Coffee blues
04:06
|
|||
It’s late in the morning, time to wake up
Can’t think clearly before my first cup
Missed an appointment so says my phone
Without coffee wish they’d leave me alone
Oh I, I’ve got coffee blues
Get me some action going on with a brew
A whole lotta latte love this afternoon
My secret love affair with the bean
Get me some hot, good strong caffeine
Oh I, I’ve got coffee blues
Don’t want no sugar, I don’t want it too hot
And don’t give me milky with girly froth on the top
I want it black, little milk on the side
Drink up baby, feel that brain fog subside
Oh I, I’ve got coffee blues

Don't tell your mother
02:39
|
|||
Don’t tell your cousin everything
Don’t let the word get out
Don’t tell you cousin everything
Don’t say what it’s about
Don’t tell your uncle anything
And you won’t have to clear the air
Or worry that he’s tried to share
And baby, he don’t really care
Baby tell your lover everything
No trouble at all
